Description
A walk on the peaceful beach of Mill Cove the day after a snow squall. I was greeted by these two beauties gracefully floating by the shoreline. Where else but Rhode Island would you find mute swans swimming along the salt water beach?
Based on banding records, the oldest known Mute Swan in North America was a male and at least 26 years, 9 months old when he was found in Rhode Island, the same state where he had been banded.
NOTE: The watermark in the lower right corner of the image will not appear on the final print.

Such a lovely serene setting these swans have chosen... and you have captured the scene beautifully, Lisa. f/l
Lisa Kilby replied:
Thank you Ann! They were posing so willingly, alas, I'm afraid they expected to be rewarded with bread of which I had none!
