Description
Known only by locals, Mill Cove is a peaceful retreat from the hussle and bussle of the constantly developing town of Warwick. Looking out from the cove towards Providence, you have a clear view of the Connimicut Point Lighthouse and wind turbines further in the distance.
These Mute Swans were swimming towards me, hoping for a treat. Based on banding records, the oldest known Mute Swan in North America was a male and at least 26 years, 9 months old when he was found in Rhode Island, the same state where he had been banded.
